THE FOUR GIANTS CONFRONTING AFRICA
Africa remains integral in God’s plans for the last days. The enemy seems to have set his plans to deter Africa from fulfilling her prophetic destiny in this season. We examine the four giants that encapsulate the challenges confronting Africa
There is a growing revivalism by the spirit of the anti-Christ into especially sub-Saharan Africa. This is to counter the area where the church is flourishing and growing fastest. This is done through funding of educational institutions, Non-governmental organizations, government to government programmes that demand establishment of religious institutions with the same goals. Sometimes more peaceful means i.e. trade, social activities are employed but when not deemed to move at an acceptable pace even violence is employed. This spirit has an ultimate goal to rule the world
Western civilization brought Christianity and Christian principles/values. Now they have rejected and abandoned the Judeo-Christian worldview and principles and embraces is a new religion called “human rights”. They have thrown out Judeo-Christian moral laws leaving no moral standard.
Africa got the bible, laws including anti-homosexuality from our colonial masters and the ensuing missionary thrust. The population in Africa is almost 1B and attempts are being made to reduce the population.
The Western giants have political influence, military power, technological sophistication, economic strength, scientific superiority. Western civilisation used to be a tool in God’s hand, now in the hands of the Anti-Christ. Pushing an agenda in Africa that in anti-God.
China (leading the East) is the new development partner of African nations with mega projects in almost all of African nations. This has given the East a new horizon to extend her policies and seek opportunities for her population. China is encouraging its people to find space to settle on earth. They are planning strategically with Africa – it is the only continent with arable land and accommodation The business connection is not the main issue but an entry point.
We must look at the Chinese in Africa positively as an opportunity to reach them with the gospel that is not so easy in China itself.
This is being spearheaded by the African Renaissance from South Africa where sangomas lead the dedication of the nation as well as other national activities. Today sangomas(witches) are more respected than bishops. This revival of ancestral worship is swallowing more Africans than giant from the north and the west. Many tribes and people groups are facing this challenge of going back to the ‘gods of the fathers.’
